The Advantages and Application of Trommel Screen:

Trommel screen is an ideal separating equipment with good features of stable operation, simple structure. Sieve mesh of trommel screen is not easy to be blocked, so it is widely used for screening and grading of coal, gravel, and other materials in power, mining, metallurgy, building materials, chemicals and other industries.

The Inner Structure of Trommel Screen:

Trommel screen is divided into two parts: screen drum and transmission parts. The screen drum for cylindrical tank, mainly consists of sieve plate, stock guide, frames and other components. The sieve plate is made by 65Mn, and the mesh size is normally determined according to users' requirements. When the material is no less than 60mm, to remove stock guide, when material is with size of 15mm ≤ 60mm, to keep the stock guide. Transmission mainly uses the friction drive.

The Screening Mechanism of Trommel Screen:

The to-be-sieved material is fed into the tube from one end of the cylinder (feeding hopper), because the rotating of the cylinder, the material slides along the inner wall of the tube, so that fine material will be fell to the receiving slot through the mesh surface, while coarse material will be discharged from one end of the cylinder (discharging hopper).
